Beads, Found Objects and the Unusual

Kolby Fehlberg-BurnsComment

We will all be at the NorCal Bead Bazaar on Saturday and Sunday, March 21st and 22nd.  The Bazaar has a new location this year. The Richmond Craneway Building and with free parking! The Craneway is filled with natural light ... all the better to see the colors of the stones and beads with my dear.

Here is a discount coupon. Shibui & Daughters is at booth #314.  Our booth is larger this year, so I can bring more goodies for your imagination and creative juices to run wild with.  Hope to see you there!

Thanks for listening.

Honey, It's Honey Jasper

Honey Jasper Spirit 2015 smaller.jpg

This is a necklace I made using a little of this and a little of that with a honey jasper bead as the focal. It is another example for the Spiritual/Feel Good Necklace - Basic Beading Class I am teaching at Benicia Bead on Saturday, March 14th.  It should be a fun class.

Oh! And I photographed it in my new light box I made from foam core, white duck tape and fabric.  I think it looks pretty good.

Thanks for listening.

Hydraulic Press Bracelets

Kolby Fehlberg-BurnsComment

Another class Carol of Benicia Bead and I took was making bracelets using the Potter USA Hydraulic Press and all of the fun dies and texture plates. Debora Mauser was our instructor.

We cut, filed, annealed, pressed in patterns and formed bracelets for a day.  We had a great time. Above are the bracelets I made.  Some need just a bit more added to them. But I am very happy with how they turned out since it was my first time using a hydraulic press.

Thanks for listening.
