D. Jeka Lambert
“Beading is a metaphor for my life, it’s about the process.  I start with some materials (beads and thread), and put them together to make small parts of what will later become a finished piece.  I work to connect what I have until it fits together in a way that appeals to me.  I work intuitively, and it’s my dialog with the piece as it emerges that allows it to evolve into its final form.  The slow process of beading is a meditation where the known and unknown merge."

Jeka has been juried into the following exhibits: in 2005 her Jelly Fish Necklace was juried into the Beads and Fiber Exhibit at the Delaplane, Washington, D.C.; 2008 her Frost and Dew Necklace was juried into the international juried Wearable Expressions Exhibit, at the Palos Verdes Art Center, Palos Verdes, CA. and also in 2008 she was an invited artist in the group show Celebrating 45 Years of Civic Arts at the Bedford Gallery, Walnut Creek, CA.
